This Superloon LED Floor Lamp is inspired from harmonious glow of the moon. A few years ago, Piero Gandini introduced the innovative use of LED technology to Jasper Morrison, which is called "edge lighting". Morrison's inspiration came from the way it allowed him to send light to the side, and how to combine it with the edges of a flat composite disc of translucent white material to give it the appearance of a flat white disc. Superloon provides direct light. Its painted or chrome-plated aluminum body has a metal rotating head, die-cast joints and extrusion rods. The diffuser is screen printed PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). The light source is edge lighting.
